My research focuses on collaboration, representation, and cognition to address water and energy governance challenges. I use creative approaches to develop new knowledge that is grounded in theories of the policy process and public management.

This work is motivated by an interest to advance understanding and applied strategies for navigating the uncertainty and complexity of regional planning, ensuring safe and continued public service provision, and informing policy innovation under rapidly changing conditions. I address key questions in these areas through inferential social network analysis, linear statistical modeling, and automated text analysis.​​
